The leaves of this tea were harvested from naturally-growing tea trees on Mt. Yiwu in pristine conditions, without the use of pesticides, chemicals, or fertilizers.

Dry, its leaves appear black and white, upon closer inspection revealing a silver sheen from hairs on the inner bud leaves.  They carry a rich, deep, and sweet aroma, packed with qi, reminiscent of peaches and honey.  Wet, its leaves have a dank, sweet, and sour fragrance, reminiscent of dried cherries, oak, redwood, and leather.  Its brew ranges from gold to burnt umber, with many hairs from the leaves' youthful fuzz dancing in the tea as they catch the sunlight.

Its flavor is refreshing, slightly sour, and very slightly astringent, without the slightest hint of bitterness (unless callously oversteeped).  Its yun flavor is readily apparent, and it carries notes of camphor, granite, slate, sandalwood, and pine, that leave a sweetness lingering on the palate and throat.  Its slightly floral flavor is reminiscent of the deep, tropical forests of southwestern Yunnan, where its leaves were picked.  As this puer is still on the younger side, lighter brews are recommended until it has been aged further.  Its qi is potent and uplifting, opening in the chest (upper jiaoo), and its effects are immediate and stimulating.

Its character is part humble sage, part hyperactive lemur, and part flying fish.  The most remarkable component of this tea is its potent qi, which will continue to shine and transform as it continues to age.

Lasts approximately a dozen gongfu style brews.

Price is per 50 grams/1.76 ounces
