Grown on the slopes of Phoenix Mountain in Southeast China, the wulongs produced in this region tend to be bold, floral, fruity, and foresty.  "Da Wu Ye" translates to "Big Black Leaf," as its leaves are large and black, with vibrant yellow highlights.  Its aroma is intoxicating, like an orchid forest, buttery and sweet, reminiscent of mountain mists, jasmine, osmanthus, and rose.  Its flavor is bold, robust, woodsy, dry, slightly tart, and slightly bitter.  Take care in brewing this tea, as it is quite sensitive, and its bitter elements will be heavily accentuated if over-steeped.  While the flavor of this tea is grounded, its effects are on the stimulating side.  This is a perfect tea for someone wanting an intoxicating floral aroma, a bold flavor, and some extra pep in their step.

Lasts 4-6 brews.
