This wonderfully balanced Cliff Tea, or Rock Tea, is naturally grown, without the use of pesticides, in the rocky soil of the Wuyi Mountains, on the banks of the Nine Bends River. Its flavor is wonderfully balanced, and its orchid-like aroma quintessential of a Wuyi cliff tea. Dry, its leaves appear black, with hints of green and umber, and carry a vibrant, rich, green, vegetal scent, reminiscent of a Tie Guanyin. Once brewed, its green and brown mottled leaves carry a pleasantly mild aroma that is perfectly balanced between its floral and roasted elements. Once steeped, its golden-amber brew has aromas of orchid and wood, a flavor quintessential to the Wuyi wulongs, which lingers on the palate. Its flavor is light, pleasant, floral, yet grounded, and approachable, well-balanced with zero bitterness. This tea is slightly dry, and leaves a lingering sweetness on the tongue and palate, along with the orchid and wood flavors that are quintessential to the Wuyi Cliff Teas.
