The godfather of cliff wulongs and one of my all-time favorite teas. Shuixian gets big, and can grow for hundreds of years. When I initially tasted this particular old bush Shuixian, I was comparing it to its non old bush counterpart. After drinking this Shuixian, I didn't want another drop of the other.
It has a chocolatey aroma when dry, and a strong wood and orchid aroma when wet. This tea is amazingly good. It's sweet and smooth, with an orchid-like aroma and a lingering sweetness like petrichor. After it has been thoroughly steeped, this tea can be boiled in water for further enjoyment. It's SO good.
Grown on the slopes of the Wuyi Mountains near the Water Curtain Cave.
