The leaves of this tea come from thousand-year-old tea trees of Mt. Jingmai.  These ancient trees are allowed to grow naturally, without the use of pesticides.  The tea harvested from these trees is processed and pressed by hand, according to traditional techniques.

This cake possesses a luminous golden sheen, from the silver hairs of inner-bud leaves that have been reddened with age.  Dry, its smell is alluring and subtle, reminiscent of caves and petrichor.  Wet, its leaves carry an aroma that is complex, gentle, nuanced, sweet, rich, slightly bitter, and slightly floral, with farmhouse and heather-elements.  They produce an amber-gold brew with a clean, pure flavor, reminiscent of granite and rainclouds, sweet and tart, with elements of juniper, pine, chamomile, and honey.  This tea is mellow, but still on the green side, meaning it can still become bitter if over-brewed.  As this tea continues to age, this edge will mellow, allowing its flavor to come into full fruition.  Thus, while this tea is ready to drink now, it is an ideal candidate for further aging.  Its qi is cool and dry, and it is best enjoyed with food or on a full stomach.

Its character is like that of a classy hostess, whose presence evokes the subtle whispers of plants as they echo through the deep mountains, and linger in the recesses of the mind.

Each cake consists of approximately 357 grams.
