Yiwu Mountain is one of the six great tea mountains of ancient China.  It is from here that this tea is harvested from giant tea trees, rather than small more cultivated bushes, which are more commonly farmed in the present day.  These great tea trees grow surrounded by the other trees that populate their natural environment, such as tree of heaven, camphor, and pagoda trees.  This biodiversity as well as the character of the trees from which it grows contribute to this tea's richness and complexity.  The pure and natural conditions in which it grows yield an incredibly clean and smooth flavor.

Although the teas from this region belong to the large leaf varietal, the leaves in this particular puer are on the smaller side.  It has a rich, sweet, earthy, cave-like aroma and produces a honey-burgundy colored brew, like the fur of a red panda.  Its flavor is clean, gentle, sweet, and very slightly tart.  It has a light body and a silky texture, with no bitterness, and leaves a metallic sweetness reminiscent of petrichor and caves lingering on the tongue.  This is a clean, light-bodied, arboreal tea, which emphasis a clean, cave-like, petrichor flavor.

This tea is ready to drink now and is perfectly suited for further aging.

Lasts 10-12 brews.

Each cake consists of 357 grams.
