Moonlight White, also known as Moonlight Beauty, can be considered to be somewhere between a white and a puer. Cakes of this tea are mottled black, brown, green, and white, the white coming from the younger bud leaves, which are still covered in white fuzz that shines in the light.
Dry, it smells clean and pure, like an ice cave. Wet, its aroma is clean and fresh, yet rich, deep, and full, with notes of glacial ice and sweetgrass. It produces a silky-smooth, earthy, orange brew. Its flavor is pure and clean, like moonlight. Its delectable petrichor sweetness rings on the palate after drinking, and it leaves a sweet, floral, aromatic aftertaste. Its qi is calming, opening, clarifying, drying, slightly cooling, and tranquil, with an effect that is slightly stimulating, yet relaxed. This tea is already a delicious treasure, and it will become progressively better with time. While it is still quite young, its flavor is incredibly smooth.
If the flavor of this tea could be described by a single word, it would be "moonlight."
Lasts about a dozen brews.
Each cake consists of 357 grams.
