Grown in southern Yunnan, the leaves of this tea are tied into small spheres and teardrop-shaped bundles, which open as they brew. Its leaves are a mix of black and gold, the gold from the youthful fuzz which covers many of the leaves and adds to the richness of the tea. You can see the tiny hairs that comprise this fuzz catching the sun in one of the pictures.
This black tea has a phenomenal roasted, chocolatey aroma and flavor. It is a warm and soothing black of the highest quality (though it still has a fair bit of caffeine), making it a perfect tea for cold, wintery weather.
